Well now, how do I re-start blogging?
I still live on Parker Street. Yes, that is personal, but I am not too worried. Seriously, how many Parker Streets can there be in the United States? I actually have no idea, but I did find there are a lot of interesting things on Parker Street! There is waste management, a co-op, a ministry. There are bakeries, bistros, and diners. There are apartments, Post Offices, universities, and even a public access television series called Parker Street.
My Parker Street is a short, residential street
with a fun mix of people. Most of the
homes are owned, but some are rentals.
Some are traditional, basic colors with basic landscaping, and others
are almost neon colors with xeriscaping . There are children, most of them are noisy, and
we have elderly people who complain about the noise. There are upstanding citizens (like us!) and
those who ride their Harleys INTO their house, and some who smoke pot on the
porch. We even have a young man, who we
call "The Troubadour" because
he walks up and down the street playing his guitar and singing. Loudly.
I like it. One thing our homes
have in common is that they are all little.
I mean seriously little. Not
micro, like some, but our home is 690 sq ft.
Believe me, that's small.
I love our little
home. It's peaceful, aside from the
noise of the neighborhood. We know all
of our neighbors. We all know what each
other looks like in our PJs, because we have congregated in the street for
impromptu meetings about neighborhood events, usually late at night. Even with the crime rate, we are happy
here. If we lost transportation, we are
walking distance from anything we can possibly need. If we lost electricity or gas, again,
anything we need is right here! Our
church is technically in walking distance, but I have only walked there
once. I really prefer to drive the car.
So, now you know about
Parker Street. What about NKL
Scraps? I am here to tell you that's
me! I have been involved with digital
scrapbooking for many years, and enjoy it a ton! But, like so many other things, I eventually
decided I'd rather make my own kits than purchase them. OK, I still purchase others, but I really do
make my own! I started to sell them at
Divine Digital a while ago, and just when business started to pick up for me,
Divine needed to close their doors.
Right now I am at Heartfelt Perfections, and hope to do well there. I guess I am still getting set up, and
getting my feet wet over there. Business
is not good for me, yet. Which brings me
to the actual point of this post! Until
the end of the month, everything in my store will be half price or $1. And, I will be adding a new kit in a few
days, too! Here is an idea of what I have
available.
